Just as we meet once a week, Scouts should be prepared to work on some rank requirements every week. Scouts, please contact one of the adults assigned to your patrol to coordinate time for you to work on your advancement.
Mountain Man: Dan Gordon & Edward Mercer
Predators: Lee Gutierez & Rickey Moorfield
Spartans: Jason Clark & Grady Teachey
If you are unable to connect with one of the adults assigned to your patrol then please contact another adult leader. Remember Youth Protection rules. In this situation, your parent must be with you on any form of communication (text, phone call, Zoom, FaceTime, Skype, etc.) whenever you are trying to coordinate a time to remotely meet with an adult leader or whenever you are actually remotely meeting with an adult leader.
Please click here https://www.scouting.org/coronavirus/covid-19-faq/ to read through what has changed for certain rank requirements. Also, when you coordinate a time to remotely meet with an adult leader, make sure you tell that adult leader which requirements you plan to work on. This way both you and the adult leader are prepared with a date and a goal.
Before you finish your remote meeting, go ahead and book the next convenient time to remotely meet and what you plan to work on at that time.
If you want to work on rank advancement on your own, you can mark requirements as completed. See this link for an example. Your screen will appear a little differently but this will give you the idea. https://1drv.ms/v/s!Av3_Dt9XX-mZjg6zlLwhZLE0Q4BO?e=SAYNWh
If a Parent or Scout marks something as Completed please type in some notes or attach a photo if relevant. Then when the Scout remotely meets with the adult leader (in your presence) the adult leader will test the Scout and upon satisfaction of the leader, mark the "Completed" requirement as "Leader Approved."
There are a lot of online merit badge opportunities. See the following links to learn more.

I am certain you can search online for other online merit badge opportunities but make sure it is through a BSA Council.
Once you have found a merit badge online that you want to work on please contact the Scoutmaster for his approval. Make sure your parents are part of the communication (text, phone, email). Then to set up the merit badge in ScoutBook please look at this link as an example of the steps:
